MN Ag Expo activated!
Step out of Mother Nature’s glitchy winter and level up at MN Ag Expo, Minnesota’s marquee winter agriculture gathering, Jan. 22-23 at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center during the annual conference and trade show hosted by the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association (MSGA) and Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA).
“This year’s MN Ag Expo is set up to top the leaderboard of agriculture events, with numerous opportunities to expand agricultural knowledge through networking, educational sessions and a great chance to learn more about what Minnesota Soybean does to improve farmers’ bottom lines,” said Darin Johnson, president of MSGA.
With the ideal spread that’s sure to score big with the hungry mind, MN Ag Expo is champing at the bit to open its event doors. Along with a full trade show floor featuring nearly 100 exhibitors, Minnesota Soybean’s interactive, arcade-themed booth (#28-31) will dive into how checkoff resources are combatting non-tariff trade barriers that limit trade and restrict farmer profitability.

“Having the ability to really get into the game, move the joystick and see the combine chomp through soybeans and dodge the antagonists along the way brings a whole new perspective to attendees about all that impacts what we do as farmers,” Johnson said.
MSGA is holding a raffle for two arcades: a wide-body retro replay arcade and a modern retro replay arcade. Winners will be announced at MN Ag Expo on Jan. 23 (attendance isn’t necessary). Raffle tickets will be available for purchase in Minnesota Soybean’s booth, with all proceeds benefiting MSGA’s advocacy efforts in St. Paul and Washington, D.C.
After chasing away trade tariffs in the “Soy-Man” arcade game, attendees can continue advancing their knowledge with MN Ag Expo keynote speakers Greg Peterson, aka Machinery Pete, and Rob Sharkey, better known as The Shark Farmer.
Sharkey will share the triumphs and struggles of the modern farmer on Jan. 22 at 5 p.m. in the Banquet Hall. An Illinois farmer, Sharkey created one of agriculture’s most successful media companies, including nine seasons and counting of SharkFarmerTV.
Peterson will take the stage during lunch at noon on Jan. 23 in the Banquet Hall. Since 1989, he’s researched and analyzed machinery auction prices. His MN Ag Expo presentation will help farmers strategize and get the most bang for their buck.
Both MCGA and MSGA are holding their respective annual meetings during MN Ag Expo, when they’ll approve 2025 policy resolutions.
Online registration for MN Ag Expo is closed, but free, same-day registration is available at the door beginning at 7 a.m. For attendees arriving early, a MN Ag Expo Welcome Reception begins Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the event center’s Banquet Hall. Find the full MN Ag Expo agenda here.
