The Successful Farmer series, presented by MSGA and Beck’s Hybrids, begins Feb. 4 at the Minnesota Soybean office in Mankato.
The series will feature speakers Kent Thiesse, MSGA lobbyist Cory Bennett, Nate Firle, Mike Blaine and Dale Viktora.
Thiesse will deliver a presentation on making farm program decisions and details on the Price Loss Coverage (PLC) and revenue-based Ag Risk Coverage program options for both county and farm-level yields. Bennett will give a legislative update and session preview, as well as underscore ways for farmers to get involved at the legislative level and the impact that has on farm operations. Firle, Blaine and Viktora will be discussing white mold, soybean gall midge as well as some tips for increasing your ROI on the farm.
“We’re proud to partner with Beck’s for this additional educational opportunity for Minnesota farmers. It’s a full program of speakers who are experts in their field,” says MSGA Executive Director. “We’re also very excited offer this series for free to MSGA members.”
Sessions will continue in Willmar on Feb. 5 and Fergus Falls on Feb. 6. Each session runs from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This new series is FREE to all MSGA members to attend. Not an MSGA Member? Cost to attend for non-members is $40; or, better yet, become a member today to earn free admission. Attendees can register here.
