The Minnesota Soybean Growers Association is reminding farmers to secure their grain bins after KEYC TV in Mankato reported that two farmers were the victims of grain theft.
According to KEYC, Blue Earth County authorities reported on Monday a farmer came upon someone backing up a pickup toward one of this grain bins.
KEYC reported that the suspect’s vehicle is described as a 1970’s–model farm truck with a square front end, tan cab and a red wood box on the back.
The MSGA is asking farmers, especially those in Blue Earth County, Le Sueur County and surrounding counties, to check their grain bins for tampering and to report suspicious activity to the authorities. View the KEYC report here.
