Rural Legislative Forum set for Dec. 8 in Mankato

The 2016 Rural Legislative Forum is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 8 from 4-8 p.m., at South Central College in North Mankato, Minn.

The forum topic for this year is “Rapidly Rising Property Taxes…Challenging Rural Minnesota” and includes keynote speaker, Eric Willette, property tax research director at the Minnesota Department of Revenue.

Following the keynote, a response panel including Blue Earth County Administrator Bob Meyer, Minnesota Farm Bureau President Kevin Paap, Executive Director of the Minnesota School Board Association Kirk Schneidawind and Faribault County Commissioner Tom Warmka will commence. A pork chop dinner and legislative panel with area participating state legislators will conclude the evening.
