Nobles County Corn and Soybean Board Honored at 4-H Banquet

County board recognized for continued support and assistance

The Nobles County Corn and Soybean Growers were recently presented the Business Friend of Nobles County 4-H award at the annual Nobles County 4-H Achievement Banquet in Fulda, Minn.

Through the years, the Nobles County Corn and Soybean Growers board has supplied Nobles County 4-H’ers with T-shirts to wear when exhibiting at the fair, cash prizes for exhibitors participating in the premier showmanship competition, provided board members to serve as interview judges and arranged for 30 gallons of soy oil to be used at the food stand fryers at the fair.

Matt Widboom, chair for the Nobles County Corn and Soybean Growers, said the group considers it vitally important to support youth organizations with an agriculture focus.

“These kids and young adults are future consumers and excellent advocates for agriculture,” Widboom said. “We are proud to support their efforts and thank them for honoring us with this award.”
