Cannon River Watershed Partnership to Review Study, Explore Options

The Cannon River Watershed Partnership (CRWP) will be holding a Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategics kick-off meeting for the Cannon River Watershed Tuesday, June 9, in Faribault.

The Partnership will be reviewing the new watershed science from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), discussing contemporary and historical water quality issues in the Cannon River Watershed and creating a road map to address those issues.

Beth Kallestad, Executive Director for CRWP, says the meeting is open to the public. She said the ideal participants will be committed to participating in the entire process, which is a series of meetings and document reviews, and who have a stake in the watershed.

Participants need to RSVP by end of day June 7. To register, email Beth Kallestad at or call her at 507-786-3913. Lunch will be provided.
