March 19, 2020 / by MN Ag in the Classroom Categories: Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council, Soybean Checkoff, Soybean News

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has created historic and unprecedented situations in our communities, state, county and world. There are many K-12 students having to learn away from their schools. The Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom (MAITC) resources can be a valuable tool in digital and distance learning.

Here are some options to explore:

AgMag Online – Access the content from our AgMag magazine series for K-6 students digitally. Student focused content features interactive activities as well as an Educator Center with teacher guides and lesson and activity ideas
Curriculum Matrix – Search for grade appropriate lessons and activities – many which could be modified to be completed independently. Also search the Companion Resources section to find online videos, websites, and additional resources
Video Library – Visit farms and challenge students to investigate the farm-to-table process using our collection of video recordings
Social Media – We will be featuring specific online resources that can be valuable to K-12 students and educators looking for standards-based, agricultural themed resources. Find us on Facebook Instagram and Twitter.
