The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced farmers can now receive quicker electronic conservation assistance with Conservation Client Gateway (CGC), a secure web portal that allows landowners to work with Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) online.
With CGC, landowners and land managers can track their payments, report completed practices and electronically sign documents. The website offers users the flexibility to determine when they want to engage with NCRS online and when they prefer in-person conservation planning assistance.
To set an account with CGC, landowners must have access to a computer or laptop (mobile devices are not yet supported) and a USDA client record with a valid email address.
Please note, presently the web portal isn’t eligible to representatives of businesses or entities–only landowners or land managers–but USDA hopes to widen its accessibility in the near future.
