MSR&PC releases FY26 request for proposal

Published On: June 4, 20251.1 min read

The Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council (MSR&PC) is now accepting project proposals for fiscal year 2026. To submit a proposal for checkoff-funding consideration, email a cover sheet, full project proposal and budget template to projects@mnsoybean.com by 5 p.m. on June 30, 2025.

The Council is seeking projects in the following core areas:

  • Increasing and diversifying market access;
  • Effectively communicating soy checkoff projects, news and information throughout Minnesota;
  • Promoting youth education;
  • Promotion outreach;
  • Creating new uses and developing products for soybeans;
  • Leadership development;
  • and influencer education

Successful research proposals will increase profitability to Minnesota soybean farmers, while promoting, educating and increasing awareness of Minnesota’s nearly 26,000 soybean producers. The Council also welcomes projects highlighting the importance of soybeans and soybean products to industry, influencers and consumers.

“We look forward once again to reviewing proposals that continue to help us communicate, innovate, educate, build future leaders and develop value-added uses for our soybeans,” MSR&PC Chair Tom Frisch said. “We are excited to receive proposals and encourage industry professionals to participate in the RFP process across our priority areas.”

The RFPs will be discussed and acted upon within Council committees and then brought forward for recommendation to the full MSR&PC board during its August 2025 board meeting.
