Justin Remus is a fourth-generation farmer in Brown County who holds faith, family and farming above all else.
He farms with his brother, Kyle, and dad, Dave, on their family farm and Remus Brothers Farm. Justin is also supported by his wife, Ashley and their children, Gavin and Breck. The Remus brothers more than just farm. They also run several business endeavors: Farm Business Network Community Builder; supply Beck’s Hybrids; AgroLiquid; and crop care products.
“A lot of my decisions and what drives me is really on faith,” Remus said. “I’ve kind of turned and focused on faith-driven solutions and it’s led me down a much more rewarding path. I think that’s a big piece that goes under emphasized in our local agriculture.”
Remus is a member of the Brown County Corn and Soybean board, and is the president of the New Ulm Hockey Association. He joined MSGA because he feels elected officials should better understand and appreciate rural priorities.
“I became a member of MSGA to have visibility of the other side of the production point; being able to look at the policies and county, state, and federal initiatives that may impact our local farming industry,” Remus said. “I want to have a voice that’s heard to represent our own farm along with other local farmers.”
