On Wednesday, June 20, and Thursday, June 21, members of U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar’s staff will meet with local farmers, rural economic development specialists, conservation groups, and leaders from agriculture-supporting industries in Southern and Western Minnesota to discuss the 2018 Senate Farm Bill.
The forthcoming Farm Bill was discussed among concerned and passionate citizens at the Mankato VFW during a dialogue session hosted by Minnesota Farmers Union.
The House Agriculture Committee recently held its first hearing of the 115th Congress. “Rural Economic Outlook: Setting the Stage for the Next Farm Bill” was the first in a series of hearings the Committee plans to hold this year as it prepares to write a new farm bill.
On Monday, Jan. 23, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar’s office will kick off her Farm Bill Tour.
