New Evidence of Pollution Found in 318 Lakes, Rivers, Streams

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) released its draft 2016 Impaired Waters List, which includes 318 additional lakes, rivers, and streams across Minnesota that fail to meet water quality standards and are considered “impaired”. This year’s Impaired Waters List identifies a total of more than 4,600 impairments in lakes, rivers, and streams across Minnesota. In total, 40 percent of all waters tested by the MPCA over the last decade are now considered “impaired.”

USFRA, FFAM Partner to Present MN Food Dialogues

More than 200 metro-area interns will gather at the upcoming Food Dialogues: A Celebration of Minnesota’s Waters, event on July 26, 2016. The event takes place at the Weisman Art Museum on the Minneapolis Campus of the University of Minnesota and is hosted by the Farm and Food Alliance of Minnesota in partnership with U.S. Farmer & Rancher Alliance (USFRA).
