The Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council (MSR&PC) is excited to host a fully-immersive Farmfest experience Aug. 6-8 at Gilfillan Estate in Morgan that seeks to leave attendees with a pep in their golf game. Most importantly, the thousands of visitors to the Council’s booth will learn more about the versatility of soybeans and the ongoing value of the soy checkoff.
While experiencing MSR&PC’s custom, five-hole MiniSoyta golf course made from SYNLawn, an artificial turf that uses soybean oil as an ingredient, attendees will gain insight on what’s up and coming in the soybean industry – from soy-based products to highlighting export market ventures and agronomic research endeavors, along with advocacy efforts from the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association.
“Our goal is to mix the fun and memorable experience associated with mini golf with an educational opportunity to learn about checkoff investments and how they shine a light on the present and future successes of soybean farming,” said Dumont farmer Tom Frisch, who chairs MSR&PC.
The Farmfest experience inside Minnesota Soybean’s booth 620 will kick off with a media event Aug. 6 from 7-8 a.m. with a complimentary breakfast and an exclusive opportunity to experience the Minnesota Soybean booth and connect with farmer leaders to learn about the myriad ways soybeans and the soy checkoff benefit Minnesota’s economy and environment. To attend the media event, enter from the east gate off County Highway 13 between 6:30-7 a.m. to be shuttled to Minnesota Soybean’s booth.
