The 5th Annual Red River Valley (RRV) Agriculture Water Issues Forum will take place July 13-15 in Northwest Minnesota. Unlike other water meetings, these meetings are organized by farmers with farmer’s interests in mind.
These meetings will be an opportunity to learn how the recently passed buffer strip legislation could impact farmers or farmland owners. They will also focus on the growing issues for Northwest Minnesota, including agricultural draining, flooding, water retention and water quality.
The three meeting locations include:
- July 13- Lee Thoreson farm, Climax, Minn.
- July 14- Ray Johnson farm, Glyndon, Minn.
- July 15- Chad and Troy Larson farm, Rothsay, Minn.
A free meal will also be provided following each forum.
