Last Friday was the last day to submit a public comment to the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) on the draft Nitrogen Fertilizer Rule.
Michael Petefish, president of the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association (MSGA), submitted a comment on behalf of MSGA.
While nitrogen fertilizers are not used on soybeans, this rule could still dramatically impact Minnesota soybean farmers, as many farmers use soybeans in a crop rotation with crops that require fertilization.
