The Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council is inviting Minnesota soybean farmers to a tillage field day on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The field day will use customized soil pits to demonstrate different management techniques to help you take control of your tillage options. MSRPC is a sponsor of the event and encourages soybean growers to attend to see a line-up of soil, equipment and crop experts who will discuss how tillage implement choices effect seed bed preparation, banding versus broadcasting nutrients, managing weeds, breaking up compaction and increasing soil health. UAV technology and field demonstrations by local and major equipment manufacturers will also be highlighted. The event is being hosted by U of M Extension and will be held at Jeff Olson’s farm, 7 miles south of Appleton, MN. Preregister at https://sites.google.com/a/umn.edu/total-tillage-solutions/.
