The University of Minnesota (UMN) Extension, with support of the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council (MSR&PC), has set the dates for the upcoming Aug. 23-24 and Aug. 30-31 Northwest Minnesota soybean plot tours.
Field day topics this year will include:
- Status of Soybean Pest Management including aphids and soybean cyst nematodes.
- Soybean variety trials, status of soybean UMN breeding program.
- Soybean fertility, including comments on Iron Deficiency Chlorosis and Phosphorous and Potassium studies.
- Seed treatment evaluation studies.
Field day speakers will include UMN soybean experts, as well as Minnesota Soybean CEO Tom Slunecka and Director of Research David Kee.
