Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council to promote B20, ‘Indomitus’ truck

Beards, biodiesel and Bandit Big Rig racing— that’s what’s in store for racing enthusiasts Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Elko Speedway.

The Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council (MSR&PC) and the Bandit Big Rig Series have teamed up to present the Bandit Biodiesel 20. As an added bonus, MSR&PC will have a few of the bearded celebrities from DieselSellerz, stars of Discovery’s “Diesel Brothers” in attendance to showcase their biodiesel build “Indomitus,” which was highlighted on a pair of episodes, the second of which airs 9 p.m. CST on Aug. 20.

“Biodiesel is a tough fuel and we’re proud to partner with the Bandit Big Rig Series to showcase biodiesel through this signature event,” says Jim Willers, an MSR&PC director for District 7. “The Big Rig Series is well known for its exciting races and the power of the rigs. We think biodiesel is a perfect complement for the event.”

The race in Elko will highlight biodiesel throughout the day with an MSR&PC Fan Series Truck Show, a Bandit Meet & Greet and during the races when the green flag drops.

“We still have seats left, including our VIP tickets, which get you first class treatment, food, drinks, reserved seating & a merchandise voucher,” said Jason Johnson, general manager of Bandit Big Rig Series.  “There will be a lot going on, including the truck show, activities for the entire family, and the Bandit meet n’ greet starting at 5 p.m. You don’t want to miss this event!”

Tickets for the Bandit race at Elko Speedway are available for purchase online at: www.banditseries.com.
