Directors from Minn. N.D. attend annual meetings
Minnesota Soybean Growers Association (MSGA) directors understand the importance of working with other soybean organizations. One of those organizations, the North Dakota Soybean Growers Association (NDSGA), recently joined up with MSGA to better understand how each organization works.
MSGA recently gained valuable knowledge from the North Dakota Soybean Growers Association (NDSGA) through both organizations’ annual meetings.
NDSGA President Craig Olson of Horace, N.D., and Ed Erickson Jr., of Milnor, N.D., attended MSGA’s annual meeting Jan. 27 in Mankato, Minn.
“It was great to have delegates from North Dakota Soybean Growers attend our annual meeting,” said MSGA Vice President Theresia Gillie. “They were able to listen to some of the pressing issues we are dealing with in Minnesota. They also were able to address some questions from MSGA members.”
In return, Gillie along with MSGA Secretary Mike Skaug and Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council District 1, 2 &3 Director Kris Folland, attended the NDSGA annual meeting Tuesday in Grand Forks, N.D.
Gillie said the exchange between the two boards also allows for a more unified voice during the American Soybean Associations (ASA) annual meeting.
“Farming practices and geographic issues are not defined by state borders,” she said.
