Jake Wildman wanted to have his voice heard on legislative issues, and communicate with local growers on the impacts that legislation has on their farming operations.

Wildman needed to look no further than joining the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association, where his investment reaches legislators from St. Paul to Washington D.C.

“MSGA helps me stay up to date on the issues we are facing at the state and national level,” Wildman says. “Being a member allows me to communicate important legislative work with other farmers in the area to bring them up to speed to stay informed.”

Wildman and his wife, Kristi, farm alongside his father near Glenwood, Minn. They raise soybeans, corn, wheat, canola and also raise peas and sweet corn for Lakeside Foods in Brooten, Minn.

Wildman serves serves as president of the Pope County Corn and Soybean Growers.

“I encourage everyone involved in agriculture to join MSGA,” Wildman says. “MSGA brings value to our operations and represents us at the local, state, and federal level. Because of that, I am proud to be a member of MSGA.”

The Minnesota Soybean Growers Association is the nation’s largest soybean association because farmers and agribusinesses have recognized the value MSGA membership brings. ‘Faces of MSGA’ recognizes those members who actively promote Minnesota’s soybean industry.
