MSR&PC teams up for virtual showcase of soy-based product

June 9, 2020 / Categories: Uncategorized

Through checkoff investments and research, soybean oil is helping keep roofs over people’s heads, literally. The Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council (MSR&PC) product development action team is excited to host a new product webinar, featuring Roof Maxx, to help bring awareness to this new, soy-based roof rejuvenator available right here in Minnesota. If used every five years, it can extend the life of a roof by as many as 15 years.

“Soybeans are now being used for so much more than just livestock feed and cooking oil,” says Mike Youngerberg, MSR&PC senior director of product development and commercialization. “The opportunity to bring awareness to a biobased product, such as Roof Maxx, through a virtual format will allow us to reach a wider audience and also show farmers how their checkoff investments are being used to create new products.”

Held virtually on June 24, 2020 at 7 p.m. CST, participants will hear from Mike Feazel, CEO of Roof Maxx, and one of Roof Maxx’s Minnesota dealers as they provide an update on the product, show how the product works and answer any questions. If you are interested in participating, please register here.

“Soybean oil is a better alternative than traditional petroleum oil in many of the products we use every day,” Youngerberg says. “Roof Maxx is just one example of how soybean farmers are helping create environmentally friendly products.”
