MSGA ready to rock out at Carnival fundraiser

For years, the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association (MSGA) has held its annual Casino fundraiser – known as Beano & Vino – on the Wednesday night of MN AG EXPO.

This year, MSGA is unveiling a new theme at a new venue under the big top tent. In 2020, MSGA is debuting a “Carnival” fundraiser at the Loose Moose Salon in downtown Mankato (adjacent to the Mankato Civic Center). The fun begins at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Admission is $25 and includes adult beverages, appetizers, games and prizes.

As with every MSGA fundraiser, all proceeds from the Carnival help fund the organization’s grassroots advocacy efforts in St. Paul and Washington, D.C. The 500 Club helps support MSGA’s Political Action Committee.

In past years, MSGA has raised money for the organization’s mission by shaving the head or beard of a director. This year, MSGA President Jamie Beyer proposed a different (though no less hairy) idea: MSGA will be auctioning off two VIP tickets to the Def Leppard/Mötley Crüe/Poison/Joan Jett and the Blackhearts concert Saturday, June 27 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The tickets, valued at $2,500, will include:

• Reserved tickets in the first five rows

• Meet & Greet with Def Leppard

• Personal photograph with Def Leppard

• Autographed Def Leppard 8×10

• Commemorative Def Leppard meet & greet laminate

Register here to attend the MSGA Carnival, and help support farm friendly policies in St. Paul and Washington, D.C.
