Minnesota Soybean is pleased to announce the addition of Kim Nill as Director of Market Development.
Nill previously spent 17 years working for the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) in a variety of positions and he also spent four years as International Marketing Manager for MoorMan’s Consolidated Nutrition, an animal feed company which is now part of ADM Alliance Nutrition.
“I hope to build on the good work done before me and use my extensive experience in soy-based products to help move the needle in developing new markets for Minnesota soybeans,” Nill said. “USEEC sent me to 64 different countries during my time there. My direct experience and knowledge of people and markets overseas will help me better understand the market needs that best match what Minnesota Soybean offers.”
The Market Development program, with direction from farmer leaders, oversees the investment of soybean checkoff dollars into international and domestic marketing, transportation and livestock.
“We are excited to have Kim join our team and become a part of the Minnesota Soybean family,” said Minnesota Soybean CEO Tom Slunecka. “Kim’s experience and his business relationships will be a true asset for all Minnesota soybean farmers.”
Nill is a 1981 graduate of North Dakota State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. In 1986, he earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
Nill grew up in Kulm, N.D. He and his wife, Janet, have three adult children.
