MSR&PC, MSGA shine bright at Best of NAMA

Minnesota Soybean continues to distinguish itself on the national stage.

At this year’s National Agri-Marketing Awards (NAMA) awards in Kansas City, the Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council (MSR&PC), which directs the state’s checkoff program, and Minnesota Soybean Growers Association (MSGA), the advocacy wing of the organization, were both recognized for marketing and communications projects across several categories.

“These awards are a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our team,” said Sr. Director of Integrated Marketing Doug Monson. “Our team members work seamlessly together, leveraging their diverse skills and perspectives to drive innovation, making this kind of success a reality.”

Ag Management Solutions, which is owned by MSR&PC and MSGA, won four Best of NAMA awards on April 25, 2024, in Kansas City Mo.

MSR&PC received a first-place award for its Augmented Reality Future Farmers digital campaign and a merit award for its Minneline e-newsletter. For the second straight year, MSGA earned merit honors for its official magazine, Soybean Business, along with a second-place finish for a March 2023 press release announcing it had joined a lawsuit challenging the state of Minnesota’s adoption of California’s zero-emission vehicle mandate.

The Best of NAMA awards program recognizes outstanding achievements in agricultural communications, and qualifying for the national level requires first excelling at the regional level. More than 1,100 entries were submitted for consideration.

Both MSR&PC and MSGA’s daily operations are overseen by Ag Management Solutions, a Mankato-based association management company that helps small and medium-sized companies with limited staff have a meaningful impact.
