MSR&PC Discusses Finances, Future Projects at Meeting

Council issued clean opinion by independent auditor

The Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council met Thursday in Mankato, Minn., reviewing everything from fiscal year 2015 to projects for FY16.

Mark Murch of Scanlon, Murch & Associates, LLC, performed an independent audit of MSR&PC and the checkoff, and the firm issued a clean opinion of the Council.

MSR&PC also listened to a presentation from Scott Erdal and Rick Steinberg of CHS. Erdal and Steinberg talked about logistics and transportation of grain, what customers look for in their beans, and the growing importance of sustainability for its customers.

MSR&PC directors meet four times a year to review projects and make decisions on checkoff investments that will have the most impact to profitability for Minnesota soybean producers.
